Dysfunctional is an invitation to think about the imperfections and economically working objects and people, where dysfunctional elements eventually become a source of beauty and meaning. Everything of value is defenseless Lucebert said, but value is also enforceable. For the artist, this manifests itself in the use ‘household’ or common objects made into artworks.
